What is MakeSPP?
MakeSPP is a conference and hackathon with learning and building opportunities. Students will learn from amazing guest speakers, skilled mentors, and helpful workshops while working on their own innovative project.
What is a hackathon?
A hackathon is an event where you turn your creative ideas into a reality. Whether you're a future entrepreneur, programmer, or engineer, you and your team will have a chance to pitch your projects to judges and win over $1k worth of prizes.
Who can attend?
Any high school student in NJ or the Greater New York City area is free to partipate.
Is there a cost?
MakeSPP is 100% free thanks to our sponsors.
What if I'm a beginner?
Don't worry! We have several workshops to get you started. Be ready to learn a ton from mentors and have a lot of fun with your teammates!
What should I bring?
You should bring your materials for your project (optional), your signed waiver (non-Prep students), laptop, chargers, phone, your ID, and most importantly, ideas! All food, drinks, and snacks will be taken care of.
What if I don't have a team?
Don't worry! We'll have a team formation workshop at the beginning of the event.
